Androgenetic Alopecia

Overview

Also known as male pattern baldness, is a widespread condition in adult males. It may start at any age after 18 years. It is caused by male hormones (Androgens) in susceptible males. Usually, you may find the family history of baldness.

Also known as male pattern baldness, is a widespread condition in adult males. It may start at any age after 18 years. It is caused by male hormones (Androgens) in susceptible males. Usually, you may find the family history of baldness.

Treatment

Medical treatment includes the use of Minoxidil lotion and /or low dose Finasteride tablets daily. The response is slow and may take months to get results. One should keep in mind that the regrown hairs will fall again once you stop the treatment. The permanent treatment is hair transplantation either by FUE or FUT. The transplanted hairs are permanent and you can have a regular haircut.
