Congenital Urological Anomalies

Overview

Congenital Urological anomalies are considered to be one of the most common pediatric urological problems. These mostly occur while fetal development. Among these anomalies , malformed bladder is one that effects child’s urological condition adversely. The shape of the bladder is effected and can turn into a flat one instead of being round. Along with that, pelvic bones get widely separated as well. Abnormal structure of prostate and male & female genitals is also common in malformed bladder.  There are number of surgeries which are done as per the condition of the patient by keeping all the factors in mind.  Epispadias is another congenital condition. Howbeit, this is quite rare till date. In this, abnormal shape of vagina or penis takes place and that leads to ineffective performance of the organs. The disease generally takes place along with bladder exstrophy.  Symptoms – variable Treatment – treat the cause and reconstructive surgery Related Condition: Not related
