Hirscprung’s disease (Intractable constipation)

Overview

Hirscprung’s Disease is a type of megacolon that happens when part or the majority of the large intestine or parts of the gastrointestinal tract have no ganglion cells and can't work. Amid normal prenatal development, cells from the neural peak move into the large intestine (colon) to shape the systems of nerves called the myenteric plexus (Auerbach plexus) (between the smooth muscle layers of the gastrointestinal tract divider) and the submucosal plexus (Meissner plexus) (inside the submucosa of the gastrointestinal tract divider).
