Jhanvi noticed, unusual, heavy and thick discharge while urinating. At first, she neglected the condition, but few hours later, she experienced a tremendous pelvic pain in her lower abdomen.
When she came to Sharda Hospital, she also revealed that she had been experiencing abnormal bleeding and pain while urinating. Looking at her condition, Jhanvi was directed to the Department of Gynecology & Obstetrics under Dr. Nimmi Chutani's supervision.
After noting the symptoms, Dr. Chutani suggested Jhanvi get the pelvic examination and CT scan done. When the results came, Jhanvi was diagnosed with cervical cancer.
"I was shocked when the test reports came as I was very conscious regarding my health. I never smoked, nor did I use any other drugs or substances."
Proceeding further with her treatment process, Dr. Chutani after consulting Dr. Sanjay Rai (HOD, Oncology & Onco-Surgery) advised Jhanvi to undergo chemotherapy.
Dr. Rai explained, sometimes cervical cancer may occur due to a weak immune system or even mental stress. It is easily treatable if it is diagnosed at an early stage.
In May 2017, Jhanvi underwent three sessions of chemotherapy and was kept under supervision for a week. A month later, when Jhanvi came for her regular check-up, she showed signs of recovery.
Jhanvi pays her gratitude to Dr. Nimmi Chutani and Dr. Sanjay Rai for being a constant support at the time when she was panicking about her condition.
