Rhitam suffered an accident while riding his bike on way to work. Due to bad weather conditions, he slipped and his leg was crushed under the bike resulting in immense damage in the lower portion of his body. After a complete analysis of his condition, the doctors decided to insert a rod in his leg which required a surgery. After the surgery, Rhitam’c condition improved but he was left with a scar on his leg.
"I am just 25, it's been a year since the accident, but that scar on my leg still reminds me of the dreadful incident. It might just be a five-inch scar, but I cannot bear to live with it forever. So, I have decided to get it corrected", said Rhitam.
He consulted a surgeon who suggested him the scar excision procedure, a surgery which is done through skin grafting. Since Rhitam was not convinced, his friend suggested him to visit the Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery Department at Sharda Hospital. Rhitam got an appointment fixed with Dr. Varun Kulshreshtha, Senior Consultant in Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery. Dr. Varun examined his case and comprehended that no surgery was required. It could be healed through medications and guidelines.
"I can't tell you how happy I was! He was so genuine. Unlike many other doctors, he gave me the best advice on keeping my condition in mind which is so rare these days”, said Rhitam.
Rhitam is still on medication and according to him, his scar is almost gone.
